Roman Holiday

Until you take a step inside the Sistine Chapel, you can’t appreciate what Michaelangelo accomplished laying on his back for over 5 years to complete the ceiling art. No photos were allowed so I had to sneak this one from my hip using P mode (not professional – more like say a PRAYER mode) and hoped that I got something decent:

Got to mail out some post cards at the Vatican City – a popular tourist activity near St. Peter’s Church. Some of you lucky folks will be getting a post card from me. :)

Threw a coin into the Trevi Fountain. Legend says that you will guarantee a return trip back to Rome when you do this. You can also make a wish – so I wished that the Cubs will win world series next year. Is that too much to ask? :)

Having dinner in front of The Pantheon – the oldest building in Rome and highly acclaimed architecturally. The night life in Rome is pretty much amazing. Perfect weather, delicious food, live music and people watching. Perfect evening after a long day of adventuring.

Colosseum still stands tall and mighty. It is recognized as the main symbol of Rome. Rather than a typical day time shot, here is one at night.
