Happy New Year everyone!

To this date, I think Bryan & Christine might be the youngest couple that I’ve photographed. They were such a fun couple and thoughtful as they went out of their way to bring me over to New Jersey. I am so appreciative of clients like this. I had a blast hanging out with all their friends. One unfortunate thing was that they were all Penn State graduates and as an Illini fan, I had to sit there and listen to them chant "We Are, Penn State!". All jokes aside, this was one of my three weddings out in NY/NJ area in October.

Big thanks to my east coast sidekick Vanessa Joy Scavone for second shooting with me at this wedding.

The images, once again, are compiled in ShowIt sideshow. Click on each of them or let the slideshow transition them for you. I think this is easier to view instead of scrolling down and waiting for the images to load.

It’s been a long time in the making, but it’s finally here. The premiere episode of the first online reality TV show for and about professional photographers, “The Longest Day,” this year’s buzz-building videos series for WPPI 2009.

The premise is simple: get 24 of the hottest professional photographers in the country (and Canada), bring them all to southern California armed only with the knowledge that they would be split into two teams and given an assignment to complete in just 24 hours. Once they arrive, they find out their assignment is to write, shoot, and edit an original short film about photography, AND an original PSA about the respective charity for which they are playing: ThirstRelief and Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep.

Over a series of ten episodes, you’ll see the drama; the comedy; and the battle for the best video and PSA as voted on by YOU. That’s right, as we lead up to WPPI (February 14-19) we’ll air the episodes. Then, about a week before, we’ll show the final short films and PSAs by both teams. You will then have an opportunity to vote for the videos you like the best. Thanks to our sponsors, the winning team will win $3,000 for their charity. The other charity will earn $2,000. (In this episode you’ll hear me mention $1,000 and $500 as the respective prizes. The ante got upped since the taping of this show).

Also, for each episode we’ll have a drawing for a free song download from show sponsor Triple Scoop Music (A $60 value). You must leave a comment for that episode to be entered into the drawing. The deadline for each episode’s drawing is the post for the next episode (which will vary from 3-7 days).

BIG BONUS: Help us get the word out. If you embed the video episode on your blog, you will get a free entry to 2010 WPPI (not this coming one). Find out more by going here: http://fstopbeyond.tv/?page_id=197

ANOTHER BIG BONUS: Have you seen my friend Tomas Flint’s blog? He has his new promo video. If you haven’t go check it out. It’s flintastic! Flint Promo Video. I’m stoked that the same guy that did his video (Anton Lorimer) is going to be working on my video as well.

I first met Koo & Jinny Kim while they were touring together in the midwest couple of years ago. After their performance, I offered to let them crash at my house so we had a big slumber party with their entire band. Since then I’ve become good friends with Koo and I was thrilled when he asked me to be the photographer for their wedding. It took place on a beautiful autumn afternoon in the mountains of Cortlandt Manor, NY. When someone thinks of NY, first picture that comes to their mind are skyscrapers and blinding city lights. But who knew NY was filled with so much nature?

Big thanks to my frequent sidekicks Tomas Flint & Vanessa Joy for helping me with this wedding. I love shooting with my uber-talented friends.

I’m going to try something different for this post. Rather than putting all the images stacked on top of each other, I created a slideshow gallery (using DJ’s ShowIt Web) that you can click through to browse on your own. I would love to hear your thoughts as I get ready to launch my new blog in 2009. Thanks everyone!

p.s. Congratulations to Candice Cunningham for winning “Master Your Craft” Contest DVD giveaway (valued at $200). Your DVD will be mailed to you shortly!
