It was also appropriate that I was there during Veteran’s Day. On my way to California, I decided to take a quick detour to hang out with some DC photographers. Big thanks to Megan Beth for being such an awesome host! Armin De”Party” sure knows how to organize a gathering. DC guys were a blast! It was good to meet up with good friends and meet some new ones. It was such a short trip so I can’t wait to come back next time. Thanks DC!

Walking around Annapolis, MD. What a cool town!

What a cool looking vet! :)

Happy Veterans Day! Thank you for your support…

Kristie Blake got her credit card stuck at a parking pay station b/c she put the card where the cash is suppose to go. Only Kristie would do something like this. We love her. :) By the way she finally signed up for twitter. Go there and follow her.

We also got lost going to dinner. Awesome!

Some other faces that I expected to see didnt’ show up but we still had a blast with this group. :)

Good ol’ Fuddruckers. :)

Umm, we’re not Buddhas. Please do not rub our heads for good luck. But you definitely will get good times out of it. :)

Thanks everyone from DC. I had a blast. Now I’m off to LA tomorrow bright and early. Hanging out at the Long Beach PUG meeting tomorrow w/ Dane Sanders! Good times. If you are around, come out!

I just realized today that I’ve been so busy posting about what I’ve been up to on this blog that I really haven’t posted too many of my weddings and engagement sessions! It’s time to play some catch up. I have to pack tonight for my weeklong trip to DC/Los Angeles/Santa Barbara trip but I wanted to post just a few images up. James & Youngmee iare happily married and ridiculously perfect for each other. They wanted to celebrate their one year anniversary by doing a photoshoot with me. According to James, he wanted to just get “one” good photo of him and Youngmee. I really hope they got more than one out of this shoot. :)

Thanks to David Lai for assisting me with this shoot. For the photographers out there, I purposely used custom white balance calibration target invented by Ed Pierce to white balance all the images. The results were fantastic. My photo editor Katie emailed me and told me that she hardly had to touch up anything because they were nearly perfect. It takes little bit of effort to custom balance whenever you change your location but its worth the effort if you have someone helping you hold the target! So try it out next time.

I’ll be on the road again starting tomorrow for 2 weeks. My schedule is pretty packed during those visits, but if you live in these cities, hit me up. I’d love to hang out w/ you! (DC >> Los Angeles >> Santa Barbara >> Cabo Mexico).

I’m stoked about an awesome opportunity that’s going to take place in Santa Barbara next week. I’ve been chosen along with 24 other uber-duper talented photographers (so I have no idea why I was picked) to participate in shooting a video to promote WPPI 2009. But more importantly this event will benefit two great charities: Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep & Thirst Relief. Aside from that none of know what it is but I’m excited to hang out with some of the finest photographers in this industry! Stay tuned folks! I will try to keep you posted. :)

A big congratulations go out to our new president Barack Obama. Whether you voted for Obama or McCain, I think what we witnessed today was history in the making. This election officially put an end to the civil rights era. It was not just about Obama vs McCain. It was about giving the Americans hope for the future of our country. We need to be united once again and pray for this nation. Journey is long and our country has lot of work to do. I saw lot of humility in the eyes of Obama tonight. I may not agree with all his issues but he gives us hope for a brighter future – and I think that is what we need today.

I was able to attend a party tonight at a barber shop in Hyde Park where Barack Obama frequently gets his hair cut. The room was electric and full of Barack supporters. Spike Lee even paid a visit earlier on. When they announced that Obama won, the room exploded with celebration. But it wasn’t just a cheer of a win. It as more of cheer for promise and hope. Tears were bursting every where and people were rejoicing – seeing the end of the rainbow after a long journey. Yes We Can. Yes We Can.

For those who…So we could. Congratulations president Obama.
