Ideally I wanted blog about each day at Joe’s workshop but seeing how I am getting more and more behind on my blogging, there is no way this was going to happen. So I will try to just briefly wrap up days 2-4 here in this beautiful retreat center in Eagle Creek, OR.

As I walk away from this workshop, I’m blown away by the number of talented photographers that were here. Most of the ones that I’ve attended before had a good mix of newbies as well as experienced ones. But this one was different. It was amazing to meet talented folks from Mexico, Russia, Canada and all parts of US that wanted to learn from one of that inspires all other photographers in this industry in Joe Buissink. It was a timely workshop/retreat for me as I gained a better sense of who I am as a photographer and what I bring to this industry. He helped us chisel away the positive characteristics that already engrained in us and taught us to improve on our weaknesses as well. Although Joe taught us everything about his style, approach, and techniques, we walked away not wanting to copy everything that he does – but to learn what has worked for him and figure out what will work for us.

Being able to spend some quality time away in such solitary place brought all of us closer together in such short period of time and I feel like I’ve gained some good friends from this workshop. Thank you everyone!

Now without further a due, here are some of my images from the workshop. (Thanks to Lisa Richmmond for allowing me to use some of her images here. The ones without my logo are hers):

Shanna did a great job modeling for us in the wet marshes of Portland forest!

Joe playing with his son Sebastian while Marilyn (Joe’s wife) looks from a far. I snapped this in an instant and I really like it for some reason.

He’s such a cute boy!

Lisa grabbed a shot of me in action… (My buddy Andres Valenzuela was always getting in my shots :-) )

Christina was a great model for us as well!
