This post is mainly for photographers out there:

Hey guys,
I’m not sure if you guys are planning on attending WPPI this year or not but I thought I share about this cool workshop that’s being hosted by Bob & Dawn Davis of La Storia Foto. I’m sure by now you’ve all heard of who they are. (Tony & Eva’s wedding).

They are putting together this incredible workshop called Vegas Love Story. Here’s a little blurb from their blog:

===================================================================
The VEGAS LOVE STORY workshop is a 2 day experience of a lifetime. Join Bob as he photographs the wedding of Samantha & Nathan in the beautiful Red Rock Canyon. Samantha & Nathan are also photographers who want to share their wedding day with you!

Leave your pens and pencils behind (well, you may want to bring them too) and bring what you love… your cameras! Bob will show you how he gets the shot mastering your flash and camera settings. You will be shooting with him as he reveals all his techniques and helps you improve the quality of your images right in camera. He’ll show you how to become a seeker of light and how to use creative lighting techniques to make each image sing.

DAY ONE begins at the Bellagio as we photograph the bride and groom getting ready in the penthouse suite. Hair stylists and makeup artists will be working their magic! Then we head off in the big red bus (lunch will be provided on the bus) to the Red Rock Canyon for portraits and fun shots of the bride and groom. Then the ceremony begins and afterwards we head back to the Bellagio but not before stopping for some cool nightime photographs on the sunset strip! Back in the penthouse suite will be the first dance and cake cutting photos. We’ll all break for dinner on our own and return to photograph the dancing and cocktail hour into the evening.

DAY TWO will begin at the Paris hotel in a conference room where Dawn will show you how to create her beautiful book designs. Shewill share with you her Photoshop knowledge and all my secrets to designing for the stars! If you are spending hours or even days on your designs, you won’t want to miss this!

After the book/album design workshop, we’re back in the bus and off to do a “Trash The Dress” session in the ever- so-amazing boneyard of the Neon Museum with Samantha & Nathan. We’ll have 4 hours to take some of the most incredible photographs. This place is spectacular and it will bring a great element to your portfolio!

This is an opportunity of a lifetime… not only will you be shooting with Bob, who is truly gifted and a master at his craft, AND working with me on book/album design, you will be walking away with photographs to add to your destination wedding portfolio to show your future clients!

Blu Domain launched this workshop yesterday and we’re already booking up!

Hey guys! First of all, thank you so much for showing support through purchasing my t-shirt in 2007. I didn’t know what to expect but they were all sold out and unfortunately I couldn’t fulfill everyone’s requests:

(Here’s DJ sporting his KK shirt. He said he took a photo of himself wearing it while he was in Nicaragua – when he sends me the photo, I’ll post it here ~)

UPDATE: Here’s the photo from Nicaragua – straight off the plane. Thanks DJ!

I’ve been meaning to print some more, but never got around to it because of my crazy schedule. In 2008, I decided to start off the year by modifying my corporate look. While the KK logo will remain the same, I wanted to show growth and maturity in my career. So I inquired the help of my good friend Al Navata, who happens to be the senior art director for Tyndale Publishing Company, to give my identity a facelift:

I’m quite pleased with the result. To commemorate this occasion, we decided to come up with a new design for the shirt. Click on the thumbnails below to see the bigger version of the shirt:

Here’s my friend Arden (model/actress) sporting my new shirt:

These American Apparel are the softest, smoothest, best-looking 100% cotton T-shirt available anywhere. The shirt color is “new silver” solid grey. The graphic has charcoal grey & red colors.

Available sizes (shirts shrink a bit when washed & dried):
Ladies’ Medium & Large
Mens’ Medium, Large, X-Large & 2XL*

Cost: $20 each**
*additional $2 for 2XL
** add $2 for shipping ($1 for each additional shirt)

Couple’s Special! If you and your significant other/spouse order them together, you can have 2 shirts for $35.

To order, please send an email (tshirt@kennykim.com) with the following info:

Your Full Name
Shirt Size(s)
Mailing Address (If shipping required) or indicate that you’ll pick up in person

Once we receive your email, you’ll get a confirmation with total amount owed and further instruction for payment (check or paypal).

These shirts will be available for limited time!

I will have these shirts available while I am on tour with Mike Colón & Bob Davis in February. If you haven’t signed up, I strongly suggest you do so as soon as possible. Last I checked, the seats were filling up quickly! Go to Master Your Craft Website for more info.

Thanks everyone for your support!
