I had a chance to shoot Isabelle’s 100th day celebration (or “Dohl” ask Koreans would call it) back in February and they asked me to come back do shoot her first birthday party. Let me tell you, Isabelle’s parents Bobby & Soojin know how to throw a party! Here I am thinking that there’s going to be a few families with just some casual photo shoot, lots of korean food and rice cakes, and more koran food

Chris & Marah have a special place in my life. I love this couple dearly as they are good friends of mine. I was so honored when they asked me to photograph their eSession. It was tough to pick a date that worked with all three of us but we were able to manage a weekend to get away to University of Chicago (where I had shot John & Jane Min’s eSession). Their campus is absolutely gorgeous – it will make you feel like you are in Oxford, England.

Typically I don’t post too many photos from one eSession but I wanted to make an exception for them and post some of these beautiful images of them. They made my job so much easier – all I had to do was click the shutter away as they composed their poses. Here are some photos from the session:

If you have some time and a decent connection speed, sit back and enjoy the entire eSession slideshow here.

I can’t wait to attend their wedding (one and probably the only one that I will be just attending as a guest)! It’s going to be so much fun. Thank you for entrusting me to capture your special moment. Your zeal for the Lord encourages me!

Let me know what you guys think! Feel free to leave comments here. Non-xanga visitors can leave one without signing up for an account.

Do you have facebook account? Add me as your buddy. I also started a facebook group called Kenny Kim Photography. Feel free to join!

I was referred to Michael & Alice through one of my former bride Mary (Thank you!). They are not getting married until next fall but they wanted to do the shoot this year. They picked a nice afternoon and drove down to their good ol’ alma mater campus in Champaign, IL. We went to few well-known places on campus and also explored to some random spots as well. All in all, we had a great time! Thanks Mike & Alice — I look forward to doing this shoot again on your wedding day! :-)

14 more days until Christmas!

Kara is the sister of Brooke, who’s wedding I shot this summer. She was one of the bridesmaids and asked me to shoot her high school session. Just like Vanessa (see below), I was hesitant at first, but after few attempts of scheduling, Kara and her mother drove 3 hrs to do this shoot with me.

Kara is such a sweet heart and so full of life. She is in the process of applying to various colleges for next year. She really wants to come to U of I to follow the steps of her older sister Brooke. Thanks for spending the afternoon with me Kara. The future is waiting for you with open arms! Congratulations on graduation from high school!

Here are some photos from the session:

On another note, WOW. Thank you everyone for showing so much support. This morning I created a facebook group called “Kenny Kim Photography” and already over 475 have signed up! I’m so stoked about this and look forward to keep this group up-to-date. If you want to join this group, click here.

In the next few weeks, I plan to blog about the rest of the photo shoots from 2007 that I’ve been trying to catch up on. It’s funny how every time you plan to get a task done, something else comes up that takes up the entire day! Any ways, here a brief and quick update on somethings. It’s totally random so here we go…

{ FAMILY PHOTO SESSIONS }
I’ve been doing some family photo shoots towards the end of the year and it’s been pretty fun. I get to spend a couple of hours with the family and capturing them in that natural setting has been great. Although my main focus is still in weddings and special events I will try to squeeze in few more sessions starting next year. If you are interested, please contact me for family session rates.

Last weekend I got to spend some time with the Rhee family. They all loved being in front of the camera so it made it easy for me to capture these kind of moments (Will blog about them more later):

{ AVONLEA }
This girl makes my heart melt! I don’t get to see her too often but when I do, she always comes running to me saying “uncle keeennnnyyyy” and gives me a big hug. I love watching Diego & Dora cartoon shows with her! When I am not around, she will ask her dad to video chat so she can say hi over the internet. I think when I get married, I will want a daughter first. Gaah!!!!

{ BOB & DAWN DAVIS }
I love this couple. They are such wonderful people. I love keeping up with what they are doing with their lives. They are such giving people & gifted in what they do. Most of all, they honor the Lord with their lives! Recently they went on a trip to Kenya – partnering with a project out there called 410 Bridge. In their busy schedule they took time to pack couple of my shirts and shots some photos with it. So now I can say that Kenny Kim Photography has now been to Africa! How is that my shirts get to go to places that I’ve still yet go to (China, Australia, Kenya, etc.)?!?

Any ways, thanks for doing that guys. Can’t wait to see you guys in December!

{ WORKSHOPS & CONFERENCES }
If you are in photography business and are serious about taking your photography, I highly recommend these two workshops. Having been to both of these two, I can personally say that they have been so instrumental in shaping me to be the photographer that I am today:

1. The Col
