As I mentioned before in my previous blog, I knew we were going to have a great time when I saw Andrew sporting Converse for his photoshoot. When Olivia was looking for her future man, all she wanted was someone tall and that loves snowboarding. Not only did she find that in Andrew, but more. Andrew’s such a cool guy and even his proposal to her was so creative! We explored the heart of DUMBO (Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass) area and took some cool shots for their eSession.

These were taken right after Jesh De Rox’s experiential workshop which took place right in that same area so you might see some influences of Jesh in my work. :-) Any ways, congrats Andrew & Olivia! I am so looking forward to reuniting in NY again to capture your special day!

If you guys know me, you know that one of the things I enjoy doing is basketball. Unfortunately due to my intense travel schedule, I have not touched a basketball since, oh I think, July? Any ways, I thought about going the rest of this year without playing just to say that I have but today I get a call from the commissioner of NBA (noon ball basketball association) saying that we are back on playing at the Ubben Gym. NBA’s been out of commission for a while since the UI’s men’s basketball team use that facility for practice but they are in Hawaii for next two weeks for a tournament so we were able to go and use the gym again.

To make long story short, on my first day back after being out of commission for over 4 months, I get assigned to guard a former #1 college tennis player in the country who is also10 years younger than me. Not fair. Let’s just say it wasn’t a pretty sight. Anyways, I managed to survive the whole hour without collapsing. I am now determined to get back in shape in December when my schedule dies down a bit. Lord help me please to get back to these days:

Another note: One of the bridesmaid/friend Annagae from this summer’s wedding sent me this cool photo of herself sporting my KK shirt. I thought the caption was clever so she deserves a shout out:

I was introduced to Ed & Jungmi through Esther Lee (thanks!). Turns out that they both went to U of I so I knew I was going to see some old faces at the wedding. :-) They got married on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the West Alliance Church and had their reception at the Old Orchard Country Club. Each bridesmaids were equipped with a camera and honestly I think they took more photos than I did (go checkout their facebooks). I told Jungmi that they could probably make an album out of all the photos that they took and that she probably didn’t need to hire me. But all in all I had a great time spending the day with them and reconnecting with lot of old friends. Congratulations!

Even though both of them didn’t like the idea of being introduced, they both decided to give it a try and are now both glad that they did! :-) Being the son of the famous eye glass company, he could obviously “see clearly” that Alicia was the one for him! These two guys tied their knot on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the Lakeview Church in Northbrook, IL. They then celebrated into the night at the beautiful Westin Hotel in Wheeling, IL.

Big thanks to Bong Han Sok who assisted me in capturing some great moments!

Congratulations guys!

I love shooting weddings on weekends but one of the downside to it is that I can’t cheer/shoot at Illini games. Yesterday I had a great time shooting at Brian & Karyn Kim’s wedding but I was distracted several times anticipating what was going on with the OSU vs ILL game. Here’s a shout out [...]

Here’s a shout out to all the Illini fans out there. I-L-L!!!!!

I am also sad that I missed out on the Thanksgiving Dinner hosted by our church! :-( Send me some links to the photos please!
