Thanks to everyone that participated in the “Fax Me Something Funny” Contest. I came back this past weekend from shooting a wedding and pleasantly found a stack of faxes! I went through all of them and have to admit that there are some creative people out there. Some of them, I can’t even mention here (I should’ve put a disclaimer to keep it PG-13!). :-) All in all they were all great but in the end I had to choose one winner. And the winner of the Fax Me Contest goes to….

Carol, Patrick & Caleb Yoon!!!

They were smart and decided bribe me using their innocent child… and it worked! The Yoon’s have won what they requested – a family photoshoot!

Here’s what the faxed:

Pat and Carol were one of the first couples that I shot when I first got into this business. It’s been 3 years already since they got married and back then I had no idea what I was doing. :-) Here’s a photo that I took of them with my very first digital rebel camera. :-)

Any ways, congratulations guys! Can’t wait to get together for the shoot!

On a side note, have you guys checked out this site called Cluster Map? If you install it on your blog, it tells you where your hits are coming from around the world. It’s pretty neat. I have people from all over the world visiting my site. How cool is that? :-)

Check back soon for a cool wedding I shot this past month in Wisconsin!

Many of us are familiar with high-school sweet hearts or couples falling in love in college. But Steve and Brigette have known each other since they were 5 years old! If you don’t believe in love at first sight, I think Steve and Brigette will tell you otherwise. I love this couple. Their appreciation for good photography got me all excited and spending the weekend with them up in the beautiful Elkart Lake resort with the family members made this wedding an unforgettable one. Just like photography, you didn’t need any spoken words to tell that they were surrounded by family and friends that meant so much to the couple.

Brigette and Steve had so much warmth you couldn’t help but to feel it if you stood next to them. Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your family that weekend. I look forward to continuing our friendship in the future.

A big thanks to my friend Peter for connecting me with this couple! Here are some moments captured from that weekend:

John & Jane look like a couple right out of Korean drama. Jane has the cutest smile! If you remember her from my previous engagement session, you’ll know that these two have such fun dynamic together. I recently got to complete their experience by capturing their wedding. Here are some photos from their special day. (Genie came along and helped me capture some of the moments. This was her first wedding but she did pretty well – thanks Genie!)

I am uploading these images from the Starbucks where I first met them to do their engagement session. How ironic is that? I am about to do an eSession with another couple here soon – it’s like deja-vu!

By the way yesterday was John’s birthday. Happy birthday bro! I hope you enjoy these images! It was my privilege to spend the day with you guys. :-)

Next few weeks I will be on the road traveling to Chicago, Bahamas and South Carolina to shoot some incredible weddings. I’ll keep you guys posted with some cool photos!

::EDIT:: This might sound silly but I just added a FAX machine to my office and I’m so excited about it. :-) My fax number is 217-607-2332. If you are near a fax machine please send me a note! Who ever sends the funniest fax will get a cool prize from me! :-) (Please keep it to just 1 page long) Thanks!

::END EDIT::

My shirt goes international! :-) I got an email the other day saying that my shirt was spotted in the streets of China near Tiananmen square!

That’s my cousin sporting the KK shirt. Just a reminder if you got a shirt from me to take a photo of yourself wearing it and send them in. I still plan on making a collage out of it in the near future. Perhaps someone with the best pose will win a free photoshoot? ;-)

Ceremony: Winnetka Bible Church – Winnetka, IL
Reception: Lamb’s Farm – Libertyville, IL

I’ve been getting lot of emails about locations of the venues, so I will just list them up at the top before I post any photos. Nancy and Hsing both attended University of Illinois but their relationship did not start until after college. I had known Nancy through the same church we went to. I remember seeing Hsing around campus but never had a chance to meet him until now. Turns our Hsing is a good friend of a couple (Steve and Amy Jaeger) that I shot couple of years ago. What a small world! Because of these connections, I ran into lot of familiar faces at the wedding. Although I couldn’t spend too much time conversing with the familiar guests, it was good to catch up with them and to find out what’s going on with their lives. For some reason, there were lot of infants and kids at the wedding. I love shooting children because their expressions are genuine and innocent!

Here are some photos from that day. Mr. Nakai tagged-teamed with me to capture some cool moments. You can view about 150 images in ShowIt Slideshow or just check out the posted images below the slideshow.

Not sure why, but this last photo reminds me of Clark Kent’s farm attic from Smallville.
