I think it’s safe to talk about this now since they mentioned it on their blog. The official wedding photographer(s) for Tony & Eva’s wedding was Bob Davis with his wife Dawn and George Burns. Bob & Dawn are the two most down to earth people I know. And I also respect them tremendously because of their faith in the Lord. Visit their blog and leave them congratulatory notes. I’m sure the experience was incredible and I can’t wait to hear more about it from them. I think Bob’s good friend Gary Fong is doing an IM interview with him so you can follow up on that later on.

Here’s Bob doing the “Asian squat” shooting position :) :

Congratulations Bob & Dawn!

END EDIT

Kenny Nakai, Duncan & I just got done shooting Jon & Sarah Yen’s Wedding in Rockford, IL. Turns out that there’s a big Laotian Christian community in this area. We had a blast at this wedding – the bride & groom were great people and their friends were super cool. Can’t wait to post photos from this event. Here’s a fun photo of the three of us having a good time. We were in the bathroom waiting for the bride to put on her wedding dress. We wanted to make the most use of our time so we decided to have a mini-shoot of our own – we shot these looking into the mirror. I think Nakai felt little out of place because he wasn’t a canon shooter but it’s okay – we are still praying for him to convert soon. Three of us shooting made it more fun – I felt like we were the three musketeers.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

p.s. I expect to see comments from new friends I met at this wedding! (You know who you are!)

Thanks to Danny Yim – grooms brother who sent me this photo of myself shooting this moment:

The ring bearer and the flower girl were walking together hand-in-hand when the flower girl tripped and fell on the aisle runner. It was funny because the ring bearer didn’t let go of his grip and dragged the flower girl for few feet. As I was capturing this unforgettable moment, Danny was on the other side taking the same photo. In a way we took pictures of ourselves from the opposite angle.

Here’s what I saw:

Here’s what Danny saw:

I had a good laugh looking at things from both side of the angle. Thanks Danny…

Coming Soon…
Pictures from David & Emily wedding in Michigan. Here’s sneak peek to what’s to come:

So much happened this weekend. I will have to update more later. But here’s a quick/condensed recap:

1) John & Semi tied the knot in front of their close family and friends on a beautiful saturday afternoon in Philadelphia:

Here’s Semi & I after the wedding | Wayne came along to tag team this wedding:

Met up with Joe Lin’s soon to be bride Jina at the wedding. Can’t wait to shoot her wedding in Bahamas! | I also finally got to meet Peter for the first time here out in DC. We met online and became friends. He’s a real estate agent currently looking to go into photography. He’s got some great work at his site. Check it out!

On Sunday – I got into DC just in time for Justin to ask Virginia’s hand in marriage. I’ll be shooting their engagement this week and their wedding in Nov! Go leave them a congratulatory note on their blog!

Look at all the effort the Justin made to prepare for the special moment…

I think she likes the ring…

It was awesome to see all of Justin’s youth group members and friends gathering to help them celebrate this event. I’m sure they will talk about it more in detail:

Ok, time to get some Z’s…
