As I was editing these set of images for Mike & Anne’s Wedding, one song kept running through my mind – “I Smile” by Russ Lee. You can hear the song when you play the ShowIt Web Slideshow below. Anne has such a great and contagious smile. I’m sure you will agree with me as you look through these images. Even if you don’t know her, she will put a smile to your face. Mike & Anne are good friends of mine so it was my pleasure to capture their special day.

I shot Mike’s sister Grace’s wedding last year in June so it was great to see familiar faces again. I feel like I become their old family friend day after the wedding – so seeing them brought memories from their special day again. Check out the slideshow above to get an idea of what happened that day – CFC blog readers will recognize lot of familiar faces there. If slideshow is not your thing, then you can just check out some photos that I selected below. Warning: 86 images. Be patient while loading!

Thanks to Wayne & Dan that came to help me shoot. I was able to use some of their images here. It was fun hanging out with them together.

Congratulations Mike & Anne!

Whew last couple of months have been pretty hectic with various things going on in my life – personally & professionally. But in the midst of it, I’m learning alot and it’s been a fun journey thus far. I only have 2 weddings in July so I’ve been using that time to meet with some couples that I will be shooting for in the future and just trying to catch up with everything.

WPJA & BELLA PICTURES
Being in this wedding photography business has been a fun ride so far and it’s about to take on another course. I am now an official member of WPJA – wedding photojournalist association. Being able to be recognized among other elite photographers is an awesome & humbling experience. I also became one of professional photographers @ Bella Pictures. Bob Davis is one of the founders of Bella and to be qualified and to represent myself for this company is such an honor. In all honesty, I have no idea what all this means but I’m just excited about what the future holds.

DESTINATION WEDDINGS
In October, I’ll be shooting a wedding in the Bahamas. I’m really excited that this good-looking man will be accompanying me as my associate photographer. It’s really a privilege and it would be unfair to call him my associate. He is a fabulous photographer based out of NY and a certified destination photographer. He is none other than Tomas Flint from Tomas Flint Photography.

MORE WEDDINGS!
Be on the look out for Mike & Anne Won’s wedding photos in the next couple of days. Since many of my blog visitors know & love this couple, I will try to post more photos than usual here.

I’m still catching up with all my past weddings. I’m getting close! Ryan & Christine tied the knot in Joliet at the beautiful Patrick C. Haley mansion. Christine & Ryan got introduced by their good friend Nathan who also got the privilege to officiate the wedding. Christine was a lovely bride and was so fun to work with. Ryan was a guy’s guy – he looks like a tough man that display no emotion. but once he laid his eyes on her, every ounce of emotion oozed out of him. It was really touching to see that even without words, just looking at Ryan, you can tell that he LOVED Christine. Congratulations guys!

*In the midst of the whole Joakim Noah fiasco last night, I forgot to mention that the tall & lovely Duncan came along as an assistant to help me cover some shots too. :-)

After all the celebration, they wrapped up the night by serving White Castle. I think this should be a must for all weddings. :-) They were a hit with the guests!

Shirts are still available! See below for more information.

EDIT 7am – July 19th: My shirts are in. The ones who ordered, you can send in your payment. I will be shipping them out this week. If you are interested in ordering one, see the post below. Thanks! : END EDIT

EDIT 9pm – July 18th: I’m hanging out at the Starbucks @ Old Orchard Mall. I just had dinner with my good friends Sunny & Ced. While they went shopping, I decided to stay and check my email. Just ran into Joakim Noah so being the nice that I am, I said hi. He asked me for a photo so I gladly obliged:

I know he doesn’t fit the position we need for our roster but I like his work ethic. I hope he does well with Chicago.

David & Emily are such a fun couple to shoot. Emily is very photogenic and David can’t help but to smile every time he gazes at Emily. :-) I spent some time with them last year doing an eSession in Chicago so I knew it was going to be a blast spending a weekend with them again in Michigan for their wedding celebration. Rain tried to drown their spirits that day but we all knew it was going to take alot more than mother nature to stop them from celebrating their special event. I feel like I’ve made two great friends in this couple and look forward to seeing them in the future. Thanks guys!

Click on the slideshow to view some of the photos from the event (135 total). If you prefer to just scroll, there are about 60 images below that I selected from that day. To see/order photos from the entire day, please contact Emily to request the link.
