1. If you live in the chicagoland area and have access to 91.7 WBGL | 104.7 (chicagoland) FM radio, you will hear advertisement for my wedding services during weekdays. I’m exploring radio ads to see if how effective they are. Let me know if you hear it on air!
2. So with my full-time photography business, lot of people wonder why I still work for Starbucks as a barista. Let’s see here… free drinks, coffee beans, paid vacation, stock options, health insurance, various discounts at other vendors are just to name a few. Plus I love the fact that I can network with customers! I’ve even booked a few weddings just by talking to customers that come into my stores everyday.
In addition to the numerous benefits that they offer, they added on something else more recently: Employee Purchase Program – so now we can receive discounts on Apple products! Can I get an “Amen”? Now I can save up to 17% on select Apple products including iPod, Macbook, iMac & other Apple software!
holla! (please no emails or calls from random people asking for discounts)
Wow, that caramel macchiato is going to taste really good while browsing internet on my new iMac!
3. Caramel Macchiato – speaking of that drink, I find it very funny that lot of people cannot pronounce that drink correctly. The word Macchiato literally means “marked” in Italian and when a shot of espresso is poured over the hot steamed milk foam, it leaves that “mark”. Any ways, the correct way to pronounce it is: “mock-e-AH-toe”. Here are some variations of that word prounced that I’ve heard while working at Starbucks:
“Caramel Maahhh……… yeah..that drink” We usually end up finishing it for them
“Caramel Mocacinno”
“Caramel frappucinno” (when we hand them the frappucinno drink – they tell us that they meant macchiato)
“Caramel Miyagi (as in Mr. Miyagi)
“Caramel Mocha latte”
“I’ll take that Caramel drink”
“Caramel Macchi latte”
“Camel Macchi”
There’s more but that’s what I can think of for now…
