EDIT: The wedding is now over and I shot a ton of photos today. I had such a blast with this couple but now I completely exhausted. One of the things I will try to do more often is to post a few photos up right afer each event to “wet” the appetite. I was so happy for this couple! Everything ran smoothly. It was a beautiful wedding. I can’t wait to look over the photos – but I still need to edit couple of more weddings before I can get to these. Here are just couple of photos of the bride and the groom.

Congratulations guys. Best of luck to you in NY!
END EDIT
I’m up in chicago again this weekend to shoot another wedding. Lately I’ve been shooting lot of couples that I have not met until the actual day of the wedding. One of the challenging thing about that is trying to get to know the couple and their wedding party as much as I can in the short amount of time before the ceremony. I try to do this with all my weddings so that the subjects will feel comfortable with me while I shoot away during the actual event. People tend to relax more and be themselves when they know the person behind the camera. This helps me to capture those “natural” shots .
I have the privilege of photographing a good friend of mine so it was relaxing for a change to just start shooting away at the rehearsal without having to spend the extra time getting to know them before hand. Dan Chung, one of my good buddies from college, is tying the knot. We all know he’s one of the funniest guys out there so I know getting good candid shots will not be a problem at his wedding. I didn’t meet his fianc
