Jin Wu Nunez got to spend his first birthday in a special way. He was showered with many gifts and variety of delicious korean and philippino food (which he didn’t get to taste any – but he didn’t mind because he was too busy having fun with all the aunties and uncles). He felt very loved and cared for. He was so happy that he was speechless the whole night. He even got to taste the birthday cake which he thought was just heavenly! But after the sugar high faded, he fell into a deep sleep and didn’t get to say good bye to some people.

Jin Wu wanted to thank all the aunties and uncles for attending his party. He was so glad that his parents hired a photographer to record this special event. He could not wait to share some of the pictures from his party. Please leave Jin Wu lots of comments!

Dan & Betty’s wedding was my first wedding shoot in 2007. What a way to kick off the year! People always ask me if I ever get tired of shooting weddings since they seem very repetitive – my reply to that is a big NO! The truth of the matter is, every wedding is so unique and very different. The people you meet, the stories of the couple, family background, different culture, etc. – throw that in all together and you have a very special event that involves an entanglement of many peoples’ lives coming together to celebrate for that special occassion.

It was also great seeing many of my old friends again at this wedding. Everytime I see them, it’s like a reunion. Unfortunately, since I’m working, I can’t “converse” for long period of time. But I think they all understand that and appreciate my attentiveness to the event.

Well here are some photos (from the many) that were taken at the wedding. To view all of them, please contact Dan. He can also give you links to where the prints can be ordered online. I’m sure Dan will post some of his favorites on his blog as well. So go and leave them a nice note!

Matt & Carly Hale’s Wedding
Here’s the second wedding that I wrapped up the New Year’s eve weekend with. Matt is in the Air Force so this was my second time shooting a military style wedding. Carly is from Illinois and Matt is from Colorado. They now live in Boston. A while back I shot a wedding for Steve & Amy Jaeger and they also now live in Boston. When Matt and Carly were looking for a photographer, Steve and Amy referred them to me. Talk about a small world huh? I’m so thankful to my previous clients who trust me enough to refer me to other couples.

It’s also amazing how God puts two people together from different parts of this country so that together, they can serve the Lord. Matt and Carly were both blessed to be surrounded by wonderful family members that love and care for them so much.

Their wedding was simple, yet elegant and beautiful. Congratulations! Here are some shots from their special day:

Just taking a quick break while editing through bunch of photos and doing various web work. Last two nights I had a chance to watch one of my favorite reality shows on TV: American Idol.

I dont’ know why but I love this show. I know they are already on their 6th season so people might be sick of watching people sing song after song – but for some reason this show gets to me. I believe we all have that desire to become a famous singer. I crack up at the ones who can’t sing worth a lick because I see myself in their shoe and if I ever went on that show, I know Simon would stop me in the middle of my song and say to my face: “What on bloody earth was that?!”. Then when you find the contestants that can actually sing, you immediately attach yourself to one of them then live vicariously as the weeks progress.

I really hope they find a good person to be the next American Idol this year because didn’t like last year’s pick at all. I thought Taylor Sucks, I mean Hicks, should not have won. I don’t even know how he got to the finals.

Any ways, good luck to all the contestants on this season’s American Idol – where the winners go on to stardom…

…and if you take second place – then you get to pose with me.

Okay. Back to work I go.

Angie initially thought about not hiring a photographer for her wedding. But at the last minute, her co-worker Joe Jun convinced her to get one then referred her to me (Thanks Joe!). Dan and Angie were a great couple and I had a blast getting to know them that night. Here are some photos from the night.
