So Long, Farewell!

After working there for 1 year and 15 days, I am walking away from this Starbucks store and transferring to a new one that recently got built on Prospect near the new Wal-Mart & Beverly Theatre. I’m going to miss all the people I’ve met and the drinks that I memorized for them. Looking forward to networking with more people out there. I will be taking some time off and beginning again near end of August. So come visit me out there. :)

So, no longer you will see this when you walk into the Green Street store: (Hi, welcome to starbucks. what can I get for you today? :) )

But expect to see something more like this: (Yo, wat you want?)

Your Starbucks Drink: By the way, just out of curiosity, what is your favorite starbucks drink? Mine right now is, Iced Grande 4 Splenda in a Venti Cup Coffee. Yum!

Summer League
After not playing for 5 years, it was good to make a comeback in the league this year. Summer League has definitely evolved from a small church gathering to a major community-wide event. Although our Jazz ran out of tunes in the Semi’s it was still fun running with my teammates. Here’s couple of photos that Michelle Henke took of me. If you like them, go leave her a nice comment.

Congratulations to Youssef of Nets and Yoon Suk of Spurs for winning it all. EDIT: All Star Update is up and running. Check out the Summer League xanga!

Photo of the Week
If you can guess who this is, you will get a prize from me. Clue: This “Thing” goes to CFC right now.
Ok, I guess it was a lot easier then I thought. No more guessing please. Just enjoy the beauty of this photo. ;)

EDIT: Birthday Shoutouts

1. Seong Lee His birthday is today (28th) and he has xanga so leave him nice comments there.

Here is his debut as Abercrombie model his freshmen year. It didn’t last long as he refused to take off his shirt and just pose in his underwear:

And here’s him in action during this year’s summer league. He’s probably the most tenacious defender in this league (next to Itch)

2. Stephen Joo – Happy birthday roommate. Probably the one and only airline pilot I’ll ever get to live with. As they say in Top Gun, if I ever become a pilot, “You can be my wingman.”

Here’s Hoj in action – in your career, may sky be the limit (haha)

This is not him but we both got to watch this close in action last year as we went and sat courtside for men’s game.

He doesn’t have a xanga but he does have a gf so sorry ladies. Any ways, leave him bunch of comments here as he does check my xanga often. I’m sure he will appreciate it.

It’s a good day. Happy birthday everyone!

Summer Small Group Update

This post is for Vincar “The Persistent Widow” Patel who keeps asking me to post small group photos online 24/7 (you better leave me a nice comment). Hope you are happy now. Here are some random photos of our small group this summer and few of the activities we did together:

Finally a photo that I like of myself that someone took. :-)

RCA Tennis Tournament – US OPEN Series
RCA tournament is one of many smaller US circuit tournament series that build up to the US Open Grand Slam event in New York. Players like Roddick, Blake, Srichaphan, etc. have come to participate in this year’s tournament. I traveled to Indianapolis to shoot some photos of Andy Roddick and Amer Delic earlier this week. Some of these photos can be found in the media gallery section of rcatennis.com’s website.
